Hi ,

I am using LabVIEW 8.6 and trying to fetch image from USB camera Moticam 2500 by using Grab.vi. However, I cannot get any image from the camera and the camera is not found by the VI either.

I have checked its driver and device status in Windows Device manager. It is OK. This camera also has its own program so called Motic Image Plus 2.0 and it is working fine. Image is shown in its program.

Please advise for any plug-in needed or drivers or any additional set up might need for using this camera with LabVIEW.

Hi skytalker,

The IMAQ for USB driver is not officially supported by National Instruments and is provided as-is.  National Instruments has added support for DirectShow USB cameras in LabVIEW 2009 and IMAQdx in Vision Acquisition Software 2009 and later.  You can try upgrading to this version of IMAQdx for native support of USB cameras.
