need help with usb-6009 operated on pda - analog output

Hi! I've got problem with simple example of analog output provided with DAQmx Base 2.2 - "Gen Voltage Update.vi".
I've got LV 8.2 with PDA module and NI-USB 6009.
The PDA is Fuijtsu-Siemens n560 with USB host and installed DAQmx Base 2.2 PDA and Visa 4.1 drivers.
NI USB-6009 works properly on PC. When connected to PDA, green diode is blinking.

I have set DAQ task settings to: dev USB-6009 on mobile and AO0 before compiling the example.
Example compiles without any errors.

My problem is:
- when application is running, some voltage value is set and "update" button is pressed, nothing happens - there's no voltage on output and an error ocurrs (attached picture) - VisaRead error code: 1073807339.

I tried also another examples, but the result is the same. Smiley Indifferent
Can anybody help me?

Peter,

I have not used the PDA module, so this is just a guess.

When you ran the USB-6009 on the PC and it worked did you use DAQmx Base or the regular DAQmx? There was different firmware in the 6009 depending on which drivers you use. I ran into this trying to run under Base on a Mac. If the 6009 had been used with DAQmx, then you had to get a special firmware updater to switch back to Base. The updater is somewhere on the NI downloads page. This was about a year ago and I do not have the information readily available to me at the moment. It took quite a while for my NI rep to find the right person internally at NI to confirm and explain this. They said they were trying to create a "universal" version of the firmware to run under both drivers, but I do not know if that has been accomplished.

Thanks a lot johnsold - I've already solved the problem, and now read your reply and I must say that your guesses were right 🙂
The problem was that, my USB-6009 had DAQmx firmware, and for PDA is needed DAQmx Base firmware. I have just changed the firmware as  described here and now everything is ok!
Thanks for your help!
Peter
