.net 2.0 and LV7.0

I am looking to upgrade my .net FCL to 2.0 from 1.1, I curently use LV 7.0 win XP SP2.  Is there any problems with this? I need the 2.0 dotnet Framework for some non Labview development (Yes I do use other languages just dont tell my labview development environment) and dont want to cause any conflicts.  Has anyone upgraded yet?

Hi Paul,

There is no way of getting .NET 2.0 to work with LV 7.0, .NET 2.0 will work with LV 7.1.1 and higher.
Please look at the following links LV and .NET 2.0 and Final Patch

Sorry for the bad news

Thats too bad, If I do upgrade to 2.0 is it possible to leave 1.1 still on my machine or whill this cause problems with LV 7.0.  It is more important that I not break my 7.0 code, at least until I upgrade to LV 8.0 (soon).  Thanks for the help.

Yes, you can leave .NET 1.1 on the machine, and drop down the config file mentioned in http://detritus.blogs.com/lycangeek/2005/06/labview_and_net.html. This will cause LabVIEW to run using the .NET 1.1 engine only, but allow you to run .NET 2.0 for other things.
