ni 9234 cannot start code 10

I have seen similar post but I am not sure if I have the same problem.

I have just installed a n USB 2.0 PCI card in my computer. When I plug my NI USB-9162 with the ni-9234 module into the usb it is not seen in NI max. I check in my device manager and I see that there is a issue with the device and that it cannot start (code 10).

The USB 2.0 PCI card works fine with other devices like my flash drive.

Is there something I happen to have set up wrong, or am missing?

Thanks for posting on the NI Discussion Forums!  I understand you are receiving a code 10 in Device Manager for your NI USB 9234 device.  This error can usually be resolved by updating the driver.  You can do this by right-clicking on the device and choosing Update Driver.  Also, make sure you have NI-DAQmx installed.  You can download NI-DAQmx from our Drivers and Updates page. 

You may also be able to resolve this issue by removing the device in device manager, and going through the Add New Hardware Wizard.  Let me know if these suggestions don't work out for you.

I have the lastest driver according the the device manager when I try to update it. I also have the lastest version of NI-DAQmx which came with the device, and I tried to uninstall and reinstall the deVice.

None of these attempts helped, so unless there is anything else you or someone can think of, I am pointing the blame of the error at my PC and not the device.

Hey Beaton,

Do you have a USB port on the computer you can try instead of using the USB 2.0 PCI card?  You also might try a different computer to verify that the 9162 carrier and 9234 device are functioning properly.
