ni-daq 7.2 traditional tries to load when opening other programs

I have LabView loaded on my computer and it works with no problems. However, frequently when I am loading another program, I get a dialog box that wants to install NI-DAQ 7.2, Traditional. This is annoying. What can I do to eliminate this annoyance?

What version of LabView do you have installed? And what, if any, hardware/drivers do you have installed? What kind of programs are you opening that is prompting this dialoge box. Are they Labview programs, or programs completely unrelated to NI. I'm wondering if when you installed Labview you chose to install support for DAQ drivers, but then didn't actually install the DAQ drivers. Is this a possiblity? If so, you should be able to repair/modify the installation (Start >> Control Panels >> Add/Remove Hardware >> National Instruments >> LabView 7.X) so that you don't have support for DAQ if you aren't using it.

Thanks GDE.

The programs I am trying to open are unrelated to LabView. I am using LabView 7.1. It was recently installed and your analysis is probably correct.

Thanks again--Newby
