ni-daqmx-realtime-bin

Hello everybody,

may be i'm posting twice, may be the previous post vanished. Hope you are not mad about it.

his is my problem:

I'm trying to replicate an LabVIEW 2018/2019 installation running on a WIN10 machine to another WIN10 machine.

I'm using the commandline client nipkg.exe to list and install my packages. Unfortunately I have a few packages which give me outputs like:

nipkg.exe install ni-daqmx-realtime-bin --accept-eulas

Ein erforderliches Paket konnte nicht gefunden werden: Das Paket
'ni-daqmx-realtime-bin (19.0.0.49153-0+f1)' erfordert das Paket
'7e1db25d-3f73-4659-a889-2b88330ebec6 (>= 16.0.0) OR

19.0.0) OR ni-rss-enable-support (>= 19.0.0)', dessen Architektur mit
diesem Betriebssystem kompatibel ist.

I guess a package like "89bad39c-da8d-4c78-ba1a-f5de0dafdc00" does not exist.

I'm a bit lost here. Can you help ?

Many thanks,

You are attempting to do a LabVIEW Installation.  This can be a very involved process, particularly when you attempt to "do it yourself" by doing something like "using the commandline client nipkg.exe to list and install my packages".

When you "force" LabVIEW to do an installation, it has been my experience (over more than a decade) that this rarely works, and in the most favorable situation, the next step is to use Control Panel to uninstall all NI Software.  Sadly, I have (twice!) experienced the "worst solution", which starts with reformatting the C: drive, reinstalling Windows, reinstalling all other software, and reinstalling my (hopefully-backed-up) files.

Here are some questions:

  • Is (some version of) LabVIEW currently installed?  If so, what version (give "bittedness" and Version Number, please).
  • Does LabVIEW still appear to work?
  • Aside from LabVIEW, does the other software on your PC seem to work, and do your files seem to be OK?

I'm going to be "optimistic" and guess that you (now) have a "bad" LabVIEW installation.  The best (and often the only reliable) fix for this is

  1. Completely uninstall all NI Software.
  2. Carefully re-install the minimum necessary NI Software.

Both these steps need to be done "correctly".  There are numerous posts in the Forum and other places describing these steps (I think I've written several), but I recommend you answer the questions and get additional guidance before proceeding.
