ni::dsc::osdep::PosixError when starting labview

Hi

When I try and start Labview i get the following error

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'ni::dsc::osdep::PosixError'

  what(): Invalid argument

Aborted

we have version 9.0 of labview on linux rhel 5.4 and from what i can see from the gui it get's up to running "converting toolkits" before it crashes.

Thanks

Caleb

Is this after a new installation, or on a system that had previously been working properly?

this is on an installation that worked before for me and still works for others.

calebbaker,

Try reinstalling LabVIEW and see if that fixes the problem. You'll want to remove any toolkits and modules during the reinstallation process and make sure you add them only after LabVIEW is working properly.

I cannot re install labview as other people are still using it, I've tried using their .bashrc files with no luck, I've also cleaned out all of the files in my home directory to hopefully become a clean user but this didn't work

Are you installing from a disc? If so, go to ni.com/src and try downloading LabVIEW 9.0.
