ni5671 Not Transmitting

I am using NI-5671 RFSG.

I have been working on this RFSG since 2007 Jan and have developed many VIs.

All of a sudden I am not able to transmit any RF signal from the RFSG.

I have tried all my previous VIs, examples given by NI and the NI-RFSG Express(CW) to no avail.

I notice that there is a CW transmited by the RFSG at 13.559MHz powered at -70dBm EVEN WHEN THE POWER TO THE RFSG IS TURNED OFF!!!

This is very strange and I really need help.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Om,

This is certainly very strange. Couple of suggestion that I have are,

1. re-start the system without 5671 in the PXI chassis and see in MAX if you get any error. Delete all the identification and shut down the computer. plug the card back in and see if this helps.

2. Re-install the RFSG driver, if you do not have the latest one.

3. If you have a spare RFSG or another chassis swap the RFSG or the chassis and see if it works.

About the 5671 generating 13.5Mhz signal, I am not sure about no power to RFSG? Are you disconnecting RFSG and still getting that spur or you are doing nothing programmatically but when you look in spectrum analyzer you are seeing that spur.

Good luck
