nidevldu is not started after downgrading from DAQmx 8. 8 to DAQ 7.2

Our application used PCI 6024-E with NI-DAQ 7.2 installed.  We upgraded to PCI-6221 with NI-DAQmx 8.8 at one time but eventually decided to go back to the original setup.  We uninstall the NI-DAQmx 8.8, remove the PCI-6221 card, re-install the NI-DAQ7.2, and then re-insert the PCI 6024-E back. To our great surprise, the nidevldu can't be started!  As a result, NI Equipment and Automation Explorer couldn't find the PCI-6024E even though the Windows Hardware Device Manager has no trouble to find it. Thank you.

Hello,

I'm sorry you are having trouble with the nidevldu service.  Did you see this knowledgebase article?   Also, why did you revert back to a previous version of the drivers?  The 6024e should work just fine withthe DAQmx 8.8 drivers, and we receommend upgrading to DAQmx because the legacy NI-DAQ drivers are no longer officially supported, and thus newer devices are not supported by these drivers, and also no improvements or bug fixes are being made to them.
