nimax application error

On startup I get a nimax.exe application error.

The instruction at "0x1ce30df7" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".

This happens every time I start the computer, run a vi with the initialize.vi or try to use the measurement and automation explorer.

I am running windows 2000, Labview 7.0, flexmotion 5.1.1, and max 3.0

Hi,

This looks like a bad installation in your machine. i recommend that you start all over again with the installation process. Go to the control panel>>add/remove programs and uninstall the drivers that you have installed (NI_DAQ, VISA, MOTION, etc.).

Restart your computer and install the software again. You can go through the custom installation to make sure that the drivers that you need are selected.

Let me know how this goes.

I have tried to reinstall several times, nothing changes. The program was working just fine for over a year, till last friday.

This error normally precedes the nimax error, but it may or may not have anything to do with it.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Description:
The SBIG service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

Thanks for your help
