omitting reload phase in position encoding

My question is as follows; i'm using a quadrature position encoder on a PXI-6602 timer card.
What reload phase does the position encoding function choose when i omit this control block, like in the LV example. What will the behaviour be in this situation?
Does it randomly pick one?

Are you referring to the Z Index Reload Phase? If you do not specify a value for this attribute, the default should be used--A high B high.
