output voltage NI PCI-MIO-16-E4

hI
I am using NI PCI-MIO-16-E4 card connected with BNC 2090 connector. I wish to output +10 volt and - 10 volt DC signal. I created Taks using MAX ,I connected a digital volt meter to DAC0 of the BNC connecter to measure the output voltage. I sent 10 volt signal from the MAX but volt meter never showed me 10 volts. it does not go up 2 volts. What is maximum out put that we can do with this card.
Secondly my objective is to drive a control valve by connection this output to a current source. I want to send 10 volt some specified time like for example three secods any idea how can i do it. any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

Having a look at the specifications of this particular card, it can output between +/- 10V, and the maximum current it can source or sink is +/-5mA.

You can output for a specific amount of time by configuring your task as a finite output task. This allows you to select how long the voltage is present for on the output channel.
