partial least squares

Hi Guys,

I am trying to learn to do some chemometrics analysis to bo done using LV and all my search for some starting point did not give me any clue where to start. I saw many forum discussing about this and not much is done on this. Where as I find Mathlab have done a good job on this with many using it for PCA and MAD analysis. Can any one help?

Thanks in advance

Hi Dinitis,

LabVIEW does provide a lot of mathematical analysis functions, which can be used in a lot of different fields, Chemometrics being one of them. Truthfully, Chemetrics specifically is not a major field in which LabVIEW is used, therefore there really is not a lot of information on the National Instruments Website. I would suggest searching on google, as I believe you will be able to find more information on this.

As far as the few links on our website I would recommed you look at these:

Hi,

Partial least squares regression is an addition of the multiple linear regression models. In its simple form, a linear model details out the linear relationship between a dependent (response) variable Y, and a set of predictor variables, the X's, so that

Y = a0 + a1X1 + a2X2 + ... + apXp
