pci-6013 error 10007

Solved!
Go to solution

I am troubleshooting some old software made by my company using the PCI-6013 card. The software was written using the old traditional NI-DAQ drivers and the user is getting the error code 10007 in AI Control.

This software was running before when using LabVIEW 7.1(.1?), but the hard drive failed and the client did not have the 7.1 disks to reinstall. They upgraded to 2009 and installed the traditional NI-DAQ 7.4.4 drivers. The device checks out in MAX, but when they run the program they get error code 10007:

A channel, port or counter is out of range for the device configuration, or the combination of the channels is not allowed; or the scan order must be reversed (last)

I am in the process of going through the code looking for any settings that may be out of the control of the program that could be the cause. I am not very familiar with traditional NI-DAQ and was wondering if there are some things I should look for or if there is a compatibility problem with LV 2009 and this card.

And insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The mode seems to have been the culprit. The mode was not wired into the code so it was using whatever MAX had it set to. Just heard back from the client after recommending changing the mode in MAX and so far things look good. Thanks for the link.
