pci6035E

When trying to use MAX to test channels I receive an error message that
resembles first irq not found. We use NI's PCI6035E, and everything has
worked great up to this point. The problem originated from someone trying
to install drivers for an older pc camera onto the computer. They were
never able to get the pc camera to work. Does anyone know how I can fix
this? Can anyone suggest how to go about fixing this? The pc camera
software and hardware has been uninstalled.

Usually the error messages from MAX are clear as to their meaning - for example "Board is not responding to selected IRQ" (or words to that effect) and I assume that this is the error message that is currently being displayed.

First check with the Windows Device Manager to see if any other peripherals on your PC require attention - indicated by the yellow exclamation mark in the list. If there are then I would recommend taking a look at these first, before you do anything with your data acquisition board.

Let's assume that your NI 6035E board is still working and the error that you receive is not related to a specific hardware fault with the board (you can check this by installing it temporarily into another computer and run through the same checks in MAX
).

I would recommend starting from scratch by removing the board from your PC and then removing NI-DAQ from your PC using Add/Remove Programs (assuming that you are using Win9x/ME/2000/XP). Next run through the normal installation procedure i.e. install NI-DAQ and then install your NI 6035E board.

There are numerous pages on the NI support web site to help further but these points should get you going in the right direction. For example, the following link points you to a generic hardware installation:
