How about inverting the signal (multiply with -1)?

That's a good idea..But henrik,
I thing if I do this (maybe I am very wrong) the singal will be a singal in binary system (throb)..
or not..?

Please tell us what kind of signal you have. The term "inverter" is used in many different fields with quite different implementations.
What generates the signal? What should the output be for various settings of the parameters of the input? Is this all software or is some kind of measurement or control hardware involved? How much data will be present each time the inverter is called? How often will it be called? How fast must it work? Are there specifications on accuracy or noise or other parameters?

You need to be more specific. What is a "binary system"? This term is way to generic to be useful. To invert a boolean use NOT.
Earlier you talked about inverting a phase. Is your signal complex?
