I tried to use portmon software to catch communication protocol from Rs232 connector. It is controlling the thermal chamber. I clicked the catch button in Portmon. It shows nothing.

Who have some good advice/

What software are you using to communicate to the device through the RS-232 port?  Is it LabVIEW or some other software?

Is that software working?

Which do you start first?  I would recommend trying to open portmon first before you start the software you are using to communicate.

Have you double checked that it is configured to capture the serial port you are actually using?
