Hi,

I am a beginner.I would like to know how to generate a sine wave from phase information from a signal? The phase output from a filter in my program outputs very large numbers....I want to use this number to generate a sine wave which gets adjusted with the incoming frequency. How should this be done?

Hello sunu,

welcome to LabVIEW 😉

In LabVIEW, there is a function which generates a sine wave according to the information about amplitude, phase, frequency you input.

I attached some screenshots to show you where to find it.

If yo get the value for the phase e.g. from another VI or part of VI, you can connect the wires as shown and the sine wave will be generated with the available information.

Please keep me up to date if it worked,

best regards

Hello sunu,

That was quick. I just tried it with a FPGA target - works the same.

Which version of LabVIEW do you have?

Maybe these VIs are not included in every version, I am going to look this up for you.
