problem configuring ni 8353 as a RT target

I`m tring to configure an NI 8353 as an RT target.

i formated my 250 Gb HD with a 32Gb fat32 partition and booted using the USB in safe mode.

i have managed to configure the machines IP and installed the required software onto the RT target

using MAX.

so far so good

but when i try to reboot using the installed software on the hard drive (first boot option on the USB)

the system freezes in such a way that if i reboot again the NI 8353 doesnt recognize the hard drive

until i plug it out and in again

i`ll appreciate any idea on how to fix this

Hi Koby,

How exactly are you rebooting your system to see this problem, and does it always happen when you boot it this way? Then when your system freezes and you have to reboot, how are you doing this, and how do you know that the hard drive is not recognized? What exactly happens at this point? Are there any errors?

When you unplug and replug the drive, does the system run fine from then on?

hi again,

the system got stuck, as far as i can understand, because of versions missmatch between the software installed using MAX and the OS on the USB drive provided with the NI 8353

i created a new "desktop pc utility USB drive" using the MAX, and now i face another problem...

it now says:

unable to configure the primary network device

system will reboot in 10 seconds....

i run the system evaluation using the usb and it failed to find a proper driver for the ethernet card

the NI 8353 has an intel 8257X ethernet card, and there is drivers only for intel 8254X or 8255X

any suggestions on how to update the drivers?

Thanks in advance

Koby
