provlem whit visa resource name

I should read from a serial port COM 1 one termometer but when i push create control in visa resource name in the front pannel i can choose only ASRL1::INSTR or ASRL10::INSTR. The same block in one other PC choose also COM1?

ASRL1::INSTR is the proper VISA resource name and Com1 is the alias. The aliases should be set by MAX when it is run so try running MAX and be sure to do a Refresh from the View menu. Check Devices and Interfaces>Ports. If the aliases do not show up, you can right click the port and choose rename manually.
