pulse oximeter

Thanks Lynn for all your suppport,

Now, I have placed the sample and hold circuit that you suggested, but If I got both signals separately, how should I filter them?, should I connect the two outputs from the sample-and -hold circuits together and then filter them or do I have to implement two different filters?, one the R signal and one for the IR signal.

thanks in advance

PS: don't know how to start a new thread, sorry

You need a separate signal path for each of your signals, R and IR. Each path will have a sample and hold and a filter. At the outputs of the filters you will have reconstructed versions of your R and IR signals. Then you can process those to get the measures of the physiological parameters of interest.

Hi there,

I have implemented step by step what you told me to, but there is no response after the filters. I got a DC level after the sample and hold circuit from IR led and a varying signal from the R sample and hold signal which is mainly NOISE. The DC level after the IR filter disappears ( I guess that is right) and the varying signal from the R led disappears too. Those signal after the sample and hold circuit don't look like PPG signals. What can I do to fix this problem??.

Regards...

Please post your VI along with some typical data. To save the typical data run the VI, then form the Edit menu select Make Current Values Default and save the VI with the default values. Make sure you have an indicator connected to the data acquisition outputs, not just the filtered outputs. We need to se the raw data.

Pulse Oximetry provides unhazardous and pronominal method of assessing patients arterial blood oxygenation (ABG) since early 80’s. Pulse Oximetry has its constant goal minimizing unestablished episodes of Hypoxaemia cogitate with growing malpractice stands.
