quadrature encoder measurment with labview 7.0 using M- series 6221 DAQ

I am trying to make position measurement with quadrature encoders using M-series DAQ 6221 with labview 7.0. I found an example code in ni.com but the code cannot be opened with labview7.0.. an error message appears telling that it needs version 7.1... Is any example code that can be used with labview 7.0 about my problem..?? thanks a lot..
