"Application Error" in "hpfpegno.exe"

I am having problems with this HP print driver file and a LabView 5.1 Application.
The printer is a DeskJet 970CXI physically connected (parallel) to a Compaq
DP PIII/550 running NT 4.0 and is being used in a production environment.
There is nothing else connected to the printer port no scanners, etc.
I have installed SP6, uninstalled and re-installed the driver that came
on CD with the printer and also downloaded and installed the latest corporate
driver from HP. Still have the same problem. The printing error seems to
occur only when printing from the LabView application. In addition to SP6
and the latest HP print drivers, I also applied the latest LabView patches/runtime
with no improvement. If the operat
or cancels the application error message
in hpfpegno.exe that pops up, printing still seems to continue with no other
problems. Nevertheless, I still have to come up with a solution to the problem
as this is a production application and printing occurs continuously. Any
help in resolving this is greatly appreciated as I am under the gun to get
this resolved. Thanks!
