"Find Example..." missing from the help menu

Both the files:

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\help\_exfinder.llb

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\Example Finder\1.0\BIN\NIExampleFinder.exe

are in place and functional but the menu item is missing off my v7.1.1 help menu.

Any idea how I can put it back?

You could try to uninstall\re-install (or at least repair), but it will probably be faster to put it in the LabVIEW\Wizard directory and then it should appear in the File menu (A pretty terrible workaround).

Another option is to place another VI inside the Help directory which will call the example finder launcher.

I would agree with tst that a repair or uninstall and re-install would be the way to go.  Before you do that though, just make sure that it isn't one of the hidden menu items by clicking on Help twice, or the double arrow at the bottom.  I can't tell you how many times I go looking for Save All and have a moment of panic when I can't find it before I remember those seldom used menu items get hidden.
