"NI-Pal Service Manager Stopped Working"

I get this message everytime vista boots. I don't even know that I need NI-Pal, or what its function is. I checked services for this EXE, but I don't see it there, or in msconfig, or any of the places I know to look. I primarily am using LabView 8.6 with VISA and 488.2 for USB/GPIB connections. Other than those components, I don't know much about other NI software. Does anyone have any recommendations for eliminating this error on startup?

attached is Vista's report

Brad,

Try repairing a driver such as NI-VISA that uses NI-PAL.  How long have you been recieving this error?  Has it been there since you installed any NI drivers - or was there some other change in the system that prompted the message?

Regards,
