Did you mean:

"Parallelizable Loops..." can't search?

Hi,

I get this message when trying to check for parallelizable loops:

FindParallelizableLoops.png

Btw. this message is shown when menu item is selected from a vi belonging to an open project...

When I select the same menu entry from a project's menu I get:

FindParallelizableLoops_project.png

What's wrong here? I'm using LV2009f2 (including latest patch), but had the problem already before applying the patch.

Best regards,
GerdW

Hey,

I did a little search on that in our databases, without results. Seems that there is something wrong with your LabVIEW Installation.

Hello Christian,

thanks for your investigation.

I made one more test:

When searching for parallelizable loops on the very same vi, but opened as "stand-alone" without a project open, the tool works and says:

ParallelLoops.png

So it seems to be a problem of the project file?

Re-installing LV2009 isn't really an option at the moment Smiley Wink

GerdW

But you can at least repair LV Smiley Wink

Have you tried to reproduce this, Christian? I wouldn't necessarily assume it's an installer failure, which seems fairly unlikely to result in such behavior.

Hi Christian,

even repairing isn't an option without admin rights Smiley Wink

@Jarrod:  For sure I reproduced it. Well it took me a lot of work and time to navigate to Tools>Profile>Find Parallelizable Loops in a Project, or without Project, or in a Project with differnt targets....

@Gerd: Are you using a english or localized version of LV, can you post your Project or at least the VI.

Hi Christian,

thanks for your effort!

I'm using an English version and I can't attach the whole project...

I just made one more test and added the vi in question into a new, fresh, clean & empty project. After selecting "find parallelizable loops" LabView took a while (maybe because project wasn't saved before), but showed the same successful result ("Loops may or may not...").

So I think the problem is with the project file itself - which consists (at the moment) of ~20 autopopulating folders.

Do you have access to my private email address in the user profile to discuss this more detailed?

Best regards,
GerdW

I have no direct access to your private email, but I will ask to get it and write you an email then.
