Hi,
I have an exe that I have been building on a regular basis for the past year with no problems, that was until I upgraded my LabView 2010 to the latest version using the suite of CDs that I regularly get. Now when I build and try and run the application, that previously worked, on the other pc I get the following message. "This is the application template and cannot be run alone" I have tried upgrading the LabView runtime engine on the target PC to the latest version but this hasn`t solved the problem.
I need to get this running ASAP so can anyone help.
Many thanks
James

I am not familiar with that error message, but I assume that you have installed the 2010 SP1 standard run time engine (~173MB) on the other computer. There is also a minimum version (~40MB) that would probably not be sufficient.
Also, you typically don't "upgrade" a runtime engine, you simply also install the new version. Both should remain unless you are 100% sure that there are no older applications that require the older version.

I also found this link. I am not sure if it is still relevant.

i also found that link before posting the message. Not too sure it is a memory or size problem as it has been working fine for the past year. The build is only a few vi's and is not really doing anything complex.
Sorry mstyped the bit about upgrading the runtime engine. I always leave the old ones there due to other Labview programs that i have running.
