Just adding my 2 bits here.  But I've seen no mention of subpanels.  The original description of the problem sounded like you wanted to have the controls for the specific window come up in your main VI.  You could do this with a subpanel.

i searched for some examples in LabVIEW and found very interesing programs to use subpanels. I can use it for my next project.
