"spider32" error connecting parallel port

i have connected a spider 8 but when i set the interface setup an error message appeard and say "spider32" error connecting parallel port

Hi Souhl, that mistake may be from the spider32.dll, if it is giving and specific error code HDM is the one that could tell the mistake.

If it says there is problem connecting to the parallel port you should check first the state of the port in the Control Panel >> System >> Hardware >> Device Manger and see if there are no conflicts there or try accessing the port via the test panel in MAX to rule out port errors.
