raised cosine implementation with FIR filter

Hi,

I am trying to implement a raised cosine pulse shaping filter with a digital FIR filter VI. But I cant figure out the relatoinship between the cutoff freq spec of the filter and the roll-off (alpha) of the raised cosine filter. Can anyone help me out?

Is the digital FIR filter.vi in the digital filter design toolkit? If so, i don't have that installed, but I can't find it anywhere else. When you ask about the relationship between the cutoff frequency and the roll-off, are you speaking in general or specifically about the VI?
