randomly switching to front panel view while programming

I've been using LV 8.6 for a few years and in the past year or so it's started to randomly switch to the front panel view while I'm programming the block diagram. It always occurs on a mouse click, but it's never predictable what mouse click will trigger it. I submitted this to NI about a year ago & nobody ever heard of such a problem. It's really pretty frustrating. It happens about every 8-10 minutes. Our company IT people couldn't find anything wrong with my pc either. Has anyone else seen this?

If you double click on a terminal in the block diagram, it will switch to the front panel and highlight that control.  Is there anything highlight on the front panel when this happens?  Any chance your mouse is going flaky and your single clicks are getting interpreted as double clicks?  (Or even a windows usability/adaptability setting that is causing that to happen?)

Try using a different mouse and see if the behavior persists.

I'm not double clicking and no control on the front panel is being highlighted. If it were a mouse problem I'd be seeing it in all other windows apps. This is only a LV problem.
