read excel data

I

I also have problem reading data from excel. I have a data

table (tab delimited) that I would like to read into the vi.

and consequently plot it into 3D graph. The data I attached

is generated by me to simulate measured(real) data that I do not have yet.

The vi. I’m using to read the data for some reason generates error.

Can anyone help me in troubleshooting both the excel spreadsheet

 and the vi.

Thanks,

Milutin

You close the workbook too rapidly and the reference is not avalaible in the last parts of the diagram.
Just connect the error wire (that feed the case structure) after the close operation.
BTW, you are not using a tab-delimited file. Just a plain excel workbook !;)

and found somehting on the net that handled all MS part. It wasn't
from this link but this also.

Does anyone has a "read excel vi" that reads all data cells in the spreadsheet.
The one that looks for EOL to terminate read sequence. That way I can read data files
without a need to know how long is the array.
Also, how can I insert EOL in my symulated data sheet?

Hi,
You might be interested in learning more about the Report Generation Toolkit. I contains VI's to do specifically what you were looking for.  Also LabVIEW already contains an end of line character constant that is available on the string palette.
