read spreadsheet double precision

Dear all,

I just encountered a very serious problem. I'm using LabVIEW 8.5 (English core) on Windows Vista Ultimate (German core and English language pack). When using the built-in VI 'read from spreadsheet file' in the 'double precision'  mode, I always get only integer data. Is it a due to the incompatibilty of format of the file or the operation system? (as I know, the englishmen use a point as the point but the german use a comma as the point for fractal numbers). Unfortunately I cannot change the format of my data files (boz they come out from other instrument softwares). So is there anything to be done with LabVIEW?

my mistake...I only changed the 'display language' for windows in 'regional and language options', but actually it's the 'format' (of numbers, dates). Well there's no more problem. But I don't know how to delete my stupid post...
