reading an activex spreadsheet

Post your solution. I'm curious. It is hard to mess with the activex controls because most of the properties aren't documented very well.

I just had to change the "Visible Range" property to "Used Range." 

However, for some reason it seems that the minimum number of columns it will report is 5...doesn't matter if I have one column, or 5.  If you add more columns, it counts them correctly.  And I just checked on the number of rows...minimum that it will report is one.

Better than nothing, but if someone knows how to change that little problem, please share.
