real time subtraction

I know we can use Labview to acquire images sequentially and do arithmetic image processing to existing images. Then can the simple arithmetic image processing be done in real time?

It depends on the image acquisition frama rate and the power of your processor.By default (25 f/sec and a processor like AMD Athlon 2800+) the answer is yes.
