Hi,

Is there any possible way to create another copy of "Get report type.vi" and do those changes in to that vi?

I tried to copy that vi with different name at the same location. But it gives and error.  "This vi is not part of library". How can I add this Vi to library?

Are you trying to make it so you have two version of the Get Report Type VI, one with the reference added, and one without?

Hi,

You probably need to add your modified Get Report Type VI to all of the sub-classes.  The KB shows you which folders to add the files to.  You will probably also need to add the new files to each class, and then add the parent method to the palette manually.

Hi, I could able to add "Get Report Type_modify.vi" NI_report.lvclass. But I am not able to add the same to NI_Excel.lvclass. (this class is locked.) Is there any way I can add file to this class? br, vishal

I don't think there is if the class is locked.
