requirement of software or simulation for this

Hi i am new to lab view.actually i want to digitize a air compressor using DAQ card and Lab view.there are pressure tubes which are coming out from the compressor at different stages containing air in them.initially there were inserted in pressure manometer now i want to replace manometer with a computerize software.kindly help me over this issue.

Actually i only know about the pressure readings coming out on Manometer panel whose range is between 3-16 inches of water where 1 inch of water = 5.2 psf

this axial flow compressor is having three stages of rotors and stators.A LP compressor is attached with it to provide it constant 80 psig pressure for its bearings.

The 3-stage compressor sucks in atmospheric air (air pressure is 1 atm = 14.7 psi) and after passing through 3 stages of rotors and stators it gives out pressure reading on manometer panel via small rubber tubes installed at different locations on the axial flow compressor.

kindly help me out now for choosing relevant pressure transducer and DAQ card to digitize this apparatus so that there will be no need of Manometer Panel instead of Software based PC giving final results.

2.   I m interested in compressor performance and quasi pressure is used too.but there are many types of pressure transducer.i-e over pressure, differential, absolute pressure transducer etc.so which one is suitable for me in this case.

3.   can i use pressure sensor of 1 psi as per the calculation given in my earlier text.since gage pressure reading after 3rd stage is  11.2 inches of water.

in my experimentation there was change of 5 inches in height of manometer column when pressure tube was inserted in the manometer.(5 in is the mean value of 14 pressure tubes inserted in the manometer panel).I m using water in the manometer not the mercury.

4.  i m not familiar with this terminology of over oressured, sealed pressure and under pressured etc which are labelled in the specs of transducer.moreover, for switching the  transducer between the pressure tubes,i have to use separate transducer for each pressure tube i think so.is there any transducer which can take 10-15 inputs (pressure tubes) and gives out signal as per the selected tube reading on the software basis or by switching.

the main critical point here which i want to discuss here is that as i need absolute (total) readings of pressure and temperature.then i think transducer selected should be absolute pressure nor differential (gage) pressure, because the reading which is coming out from the manometer when tubes were inserted in it are pressure gage and then they were added to ambient pressure (atmospheric pressure i-e 14.7psi) to get absolute pressure for performance curve.so now when i will be using transducer then the pressure tube which will be inserted in transducer will be having total pressure(absolute pressure) nor the gage pressure.what you suggest over here in this point so then i think 1 psi transducer will be rejected and i have to choose transducer of 0-16 psi range, say maximum of 20 psi.

thirdly is there any transducer which is combination of temperature and pressure sensor altogether and can give out readings for temperature and pressure input from same transducer.

thanx waiting for healthy suggestions.

5.  price of this card and transducers u referred ?????????????

6.  if there is possibility of developing the simulation for the said software then kindly help me over this.

thanx a  lot

Are you looking to hire someone to assist you in this? This is the board for employers to post job openings, so if you are only asking technical information it would be better to post it in the main "LabVIEW" forum.

Putnam,

I pointed the OP to this board after a series of posts on this topic in the LV board.  It sounded like hired help was needed.  Is is not clear from the post in this board whether I was understood.
