route ai scan start

i'm trying to route "AI Scan Start" signal to one of the RTSI lines. i need to timestamp each data sample. but somehow labview doesn't like it. does anyone know how to output "AI Scan Start" signal?"

forgot to mention that i'm using pxi-4472 cards on a pxi-1006 chassis. i plan to let another pxi-7831R card on the same chassis to pick up the "ai scan start" signal and timestamp each signal.

For more information on your questions consult the Synchronizing Multiple Devices section in chapter 2 of the 447x User Manual. Based on the information you should place your 4472 in slot 2 of the chassis, configure it for synchronizing multiple cards and then monitor either the PXI Star Trigger line or RTSI 5 on your FPGA card for the ADC oversample clock.

"NI PXI-4472

To synchronize two or more NI PXI-4472 devices in a PXI/CompactPCI system, one of the NI PXI-4472 devices must be located in PXI Slot 2. This device is the master, and the PXI devices in other slots are slaves. The master broadcasts the ADC oversample clock to the other PXI devices on the PXI Star trigger lines and uses the
RTSI 5/TRIG 5 line to drive the synchronization signal to the slave devices."

hi Christian,

i somehow managed to route "AI Convert" signal to an RTSI line. seems to work fine, except for one more >a href="http://exchange.ni.com/servlet/ProcessRequest?RHIVEID=101&RPAGEID=135&HOID=506500000008000000E4E30000&USEARCHCONTEXT_CATEGORY_0=_49_%24_6_&USEARCHCONTEXT_CATEGORY_S=0&UCATEGORY_0=_49_%24_6_&UCATEGORY_S=0">problem. do you know anything about this? THanks a lot! i feel i'm really close though!
