hello,

Can any one tell me if it is possible to communicatcate with Texas Instruments DSPs using RTDX in Labview 10. There is a DSP integration toolkit but does not seem compatible with Labview 10.

Best regards,

                    Umar Khan.

Hi Umar,

Yes indeed it is possible to communicate with TI DSP chips over RTDX. Can I point you in the direction of these documents, which should help answer your question:

DSP Communication Using RTDX

http://www.ni.com/white-paper/3309/en

Connecting to Texas Instruments DSPs Using the LabVIEW DSP Test Integration Toolkit

http://www.ni.com/white-paper/3151/en

Hope this helps,

Hi,

Yes but these are no more supported in the latest versions of Labview, can you please tell me if there is any replacement?

Umar.

Hi Umar,

Sorry, I didn't notice that. It seems the toolkit is no longer supported, however the VIs are available for download at the bottom of the following page:

http://www.ni.com/white-paper/5839/en

The VIs can be loaded in LabVIEW 2010 through 2012, and will throw warnings that they found dependencies in different folders than they expected, but this shouldn't be a problem.

The CCS code is only provided for v3.3, but there are also instructions linked on the page to help you convert these to v4, which I imagine could then be migrated to the current v5 with little effort.

I hope this helps,
