Assuming you are running windows, go to the "uninstall a program" entry in the control panel and select the entry "National Instruments Software". Double-click it, select the desired National instruments software products and select "remove".

Can you indicate the product name of the run time engine.
Thanks

Well, look for an entry that has the words "run", "time", "engine" and "2011" in it. Are you sure it is even installed?
(Is your question in any way related with the topic of this already solved thread? Please explain. I don't quite get it)

I can't find it in the product list. Please see attachment.

In fact it is showing missing plugin when I am running the runtime engine. But when I am trying to install it again it is showing that a later version of this product is already installed. I guess I have to uninstall it but I can't find the file in National Instruments.

What exact version are you trying to install? HOw big is the file? You already have full LabVIEW 2011 installed, so why do you need the runtime engone?
All major versions of the runtime egine can be installed in parallel. Could it be that you should try installing e.g. a SP1 version?
How are you "running" the run time engine? Typically one runs an application that uses the run time engine.
Can you show is an image of the error message?

I have attached the messages displayed when I am requesting to connect (plugin). Clicking on plugin opens the NI site. I have tried to update the run time engine with LRTE2011min.exe. The message shown is as attached.

Try opening your webpage in Internet Explorer instead of Firefox. Maybe the "plugin" problem is related to Firefox and not LabVIEW.
