sampling time using hameg dmm.?

hi folks

i am using labview to comm with a hameg dmm, switching between volts and current and plotting a power graph. how can i calculate the sampling time of this.?
the meter is clicking between voltage and current every second ish, but how can i determine the actual sampling rate?

Hi Eric,

What is the actual Hameg DMM you are using? Are you using an Instrument driver? What version of LabVIEW are you using? When you say sampling rate do you mean the hardware rate of the DMM of the rate you can achieve with LabVIEW? THere is another forum thread about using a Hameg DMM not sure if it will answer your question but it might be useful.

hi there,

i posted a new thread. if you wish to look at it you can see my vi and some excel results. the hameg is a 8012.  im communicating via the visa blocks on labview. everything is going ok, but the sample time between intervals has increased alot since i put in a mean loop......not satisfactory really. this is explained in the sensor mote thread.

regards

eric
