save image to file

Hi!

I am using LabView 6.1 and PCI 1411 with Imaq 2.5.2
I am able to do snapshots and do grab images.
But how do I save these images to a file??
I have seen a lot of postings telling of "Write Bitmap to file.vi" or other functions. But I don't find them.

Any idea???

Thanks

Hiya Starter:

Go to Graphics and Sound directory, and there you will find a Graphics Format pallet. There is a Write jpg, a write png and a write bmp node you can wire in. Do look at the graphics examples also, in the help files, as to sizing, color depth, etc.

Good luck!

If you've got IMAQ installed, got to the function pallette >> NI Measurements >> Vision >> Vision Utilities >> Files. From there you have choices for BMP, JPG, PNG and TIF file formats.

It's me again!

I'm sorry, but unfortunately I can't find the functions. Perhaps it matters that I do not have Imaq Vision.
I also searched my complete harddisk for files like *imaq*.*, but I couldn't find the funcitons in the results.

Do you have any further idea???

Thanks

If all you've got is the Basic LabVIEW version, then the functions are not installed. They would be in vi.llb\picture\bmp.llb (for Write to BMP File).

Go to ni.com as a starting point or contact your local sales engineer.
