Yeah most people don't know that exists. Opening random VIs in vi.lib can be fun.
I can understand some of your complaints, and I'd had a few too with things like the VI should be inlined. But when it comes to using my own custom code, or using already made things that are 3rd party, or already made things by NI, I tend to want to stick with the native implementation, even if it is less than perfect.
