serial communication between labview and can low speed

Hello 

i'm an engineering student actually i'm working in a project and i have a probleme in communication between a serial port RS232 and a CAN LS box by aixia; RS232/CAN LOW SPEED (version 2.0) in LabView . I'can not reseve any data from the passerelle , well i wanna send a frame like this "88 55 06 21 C3 3A FA F9 " from the pc to the can case throu labview and reseve another frame like 88 55 03 41 9F :OK .

the instructions you need should be found in your device manual. Do you have a manual? Can you even provide a link to your RS232/CAN box and its documentation?

I hope you don't connect your RS232 directly to a CAN port!?

yes i have the device manual , and all the instructions but i can't found a link to my RS232/CAN box and its documentation, well i don't understand how to send those frame with labview and RS232 ... i hope you see what i mean .

i have the aixia box . The RS232 / CAN gateway is a microcontroller module for connecting a PC to a CAN network .

Neither do I.

As long as we don't have a manual to look at we cannot provide any useful information on how to communicate with your device. You will need to do this "read the f* manual" on your own!

I wonder where you will be providing the CAN message ID needed to send this frame of data…
