serial port communication

hi,
i use VISA within LabVIEW 6.0 communicate with microprocessor(PIC18F452)
through serial port, ijust want to transfer some data to the MCU which is in
the PICDEM2 PLUS DEMO board.But i can not get correct data.Actually no
matter what i write to buffer, i always get same value. i use oscilloscope
to observe the waveform.Transmitting a byte takes about 8.2 ms while the
baud rate is set as 9600bps without parity,the duration is not correct.
any help will be appreciated

Could you please post an example of the code you are working on?

It sounds like you are not setting the baud rate correctly.

Posting sample code will help us help you,
