serial port

Deborah,

Actually, this is a brand new from factory 8133 controller.  The 8133 I used with RT 2010 was on loan to me, and we purchased a new one for long term use.  The Host PC used for both is the same Windows 7 PC.  I used a PXI USB boot disk and formatted as FAT32 and installed RT2011, and then used MAX to install the relevant software packages, so a full reformat.

If you think it is still relevant to repair the PXI Platform Services Driver, can you please give me some more details about how to do this?  I would assume that it involves using MAX to send some software to the RT controller from the host, but I can't find any software items called PXI Platform Services.

Hello Gregory,

The PXI platform services software is required to identify NI PXI and PXI Express chassis and modules, as well as to allow for trigger routing. The proper hardware driver for particular NI modules such as DAQmx products is still required on top of the platform to fully leverage its capabilities. This is found in MAX under the My System software tab and can be repaired in the Windows Control Panel>>National Instruments Software selection.

Regards,

Deborah Y.
