shared variable

Hello,

I use Shared Variables with the "distributed system manager" and "DSC module".

The variables that are in Acces type "Write only" takes the values (or the quality) = "Connecting..." , even after an actualisation

But the variables works well, I can write them.

? How can I switch this problem ?

? Is it only a display trouble ?

? Who has an explication ?

Hey NBA,

Thanks for posting on our forums.

Do you mean that the quality in the distributed system manager is never updated ? What about the values in the distributed system manager ?

When you refresh (F5), nothing happens ? Where are you deploying the shared variable (target or on local machine) ?

Do you see this issue only with write-only variables ?

I will try to reproduce it on my end, and let you know.

Eric

Hi Eric,

My impression is the quality is never update or there is simply a troube in the display.

First, I used the distributed system manager on the local machine

After, if I don't refresh (F5), the display is not correct at all, and sometimes the actualisation is not work well (I don't know why).

When I've refreshed, The value of the shared variables in acces "Read" are correctly updated (value and quality)

The shared variable in access "Write only" are correctly writed, but the quality seems not good.

Thanks

NBA,

I ran some tests and did not get any results like yours. Once the variable is deployed, it shows a quality of "Good", and I can write into it. I'm using the latest developer suite so I don't know about you but it looks like I have no feedback here on this kind of issues yet.

Eric,

So, too bad, My project works ... it is the main thing.

And me too, I used LabVIEW 2010 and DSC module 2010, and with an other client OPC, I have no problem !!?!

But as well, before, I have already have some error with shared variables in acces R/W during the write of these variables => err n° 0x8BBB000A appears on the execution of my VI (see attached file).

So after, I used other shared variabled in acces Write only, and I saw the trouble of quality.

thanks for all
