shifting values through vi dialog

Hi.

 I want to create a button in my  vi such that by clicking that a dialog opens in which i pass some values that are updated in my   vi ?

Hi DeWalker,

You could use "Prompt User for Input" function in Dialog and User Interface palette. Double click that function and set the input data type that you want to pass.

That opens a dialog and you could pass the value to the vi
