simulated device in MAX

I installed a simulated device, PCI-MIO-16E4, in MAX. But when programming with LabVIEW 7.1, menu icons for channel/task generation or DAQ assistant are not displayed. However, they are displayed in LabVIEW 7.0. What can I do to make LV display the icons?
