I use the sound card of my computer to input and analyse the sound, and I select the SI VIs for my job,but I have some problems.
1,when I check the graph of the sound, the graph is full of the lines.Maybe the voltage of the signal is out of the max voltage of my sound card.
where can I change the Gain or some other ways to collect all the signals.
2, I use a filter before I send a wav to the spectrum graph, but I can still see the line above my cutoff frequency, why?
Thank you.

The sound I collect is from the speaker of the car,so it may be very loud.
Thank you!

Hye,
no pb encontered,
could you send capture of your "lines"
did you try to open the recorded file with goldwave of soft like that to read the file ?
Yes there is maximums voltages of sound card input i dont know how may be 500mV mike and 5v line in ??
if you use a mic ther is often a option in volume property -> mic volume -> advanced -> uncked ampli box
you can also take away the mic or low down your sound system ?

I find the place to change the volume of the mic.If I lower the mic, does it equal to taking it away from the sound system?
And can I control that in LABVIEW?
Thank you!

hye,
yes, it seems to be possibble but i don't know how, try to search with key words "microphone volume"
i have some difficulties to understand what is the probleme,
is your problem solved ?, what is the aim of your application ?

My aim seems very easy.I just want to collect all the sound wave without any overflow.
I hope lowering the mic volume will help.
Thank you!
